Suspension line clamps are often stereotyped products, but now retain the U-bolt style (usually called boat-shaped line clamps), which is composed of a hanger U-shaped bolt, a line clamp hull made of malleable cast iron, and a pressure plate. The other is the pre-twisted suspension clamp. Suspension wire clamps are used to fix wires on the insulator strings of linear towers, or to hang lightning protection wires on linear towers. They can also be used to support transposition wires on transposition towers and to fix tension-resistant corner tower jumpers.

Suspension Clamp ( Trunnion Type)

XGU series trunnion type malleable iron suspension clamp/ electric pole clamp is mainly used for overhead electric line, suspending conductor on the insulator or lightning conductor on the lamp tower through connecting fittings. It is made up of aluminum alloy, with minium loss of magnetic hysteresis & eddy current as well as light weight & convenient installation. It has accessed to the criteria of energy-saving & consumption reduction for Chinese state grid reconstruction. When it used for aluminum-stranded wire & ACSR, the priority shall be wrapped aluminum armor tape or armor rods on the conductor for protecting the conductor.

The suspension clamp is used to fix conductors to insulator strings or hang lightning conductors on straightline towers. Moreover, it also can be used for transposition towers to support transposition conductors and for tension towers or angle poles to fix the jumper wires.

As the suspension clamps are used to ACSR, the conductor may be wounded by aluminium tapes or preformed armour rods for protecting protecting these taps or rods are included in the diameter of suitable conductor.

The body and keeper are made of malleable iron.cotter-pins are made of stainless steel,other parts are made of steel.All ferrous parts are hot-dip galvanized.

Packaging and Shipment: 

Generally, sea-worthy packaging will be adoped, using plastic bags and metal mesh/ wood crate. Quantity each crate/ mesh contains will be showned on the marks marked on the package.
